That Time of Day

I think my favorite time of day is when Matt gets home from work. I have another adult to talk to person-to-person. I have someone to help give Ellie some attention. And she is now at the point where she gets excited seeing him walk in the door! It's probably because daddy is much better at rolling around on the ground and playing with her than mommy is.

Month Ten

I think this past month has been one of the most fun. Little Miss E starting to walk has just been a lot of fun to experience. Plus it's made her super happy being able to move around on her own two feet. This past week she got even better at it after a visit from her cousin K. I've hardly seen her crawl the last few days.
Besides walking, she gives kisses (open-mouth, slobbery kisses). She even likes to give them without us having to ask for one. She waves bye; we have to be careful when we tell her to say bye because she associates it with going outside. The other night we were video chatting with her grandma and grandpa and told her to say bye and she walked over to the front door waving. We think she might be working on saying "Da da" and "bye bye" (and I'm hoping "Ma ma" too ;)). The only problem is every time we think she's said it and ask her to say it again, she looks at us and laughs.
She is definitely starting to develop a personality. A fun, silly one. We sure do love her!

Month 9

It's been almost 3 weeks since Ellie's ninth month birthday, but I have to at least post a picture because I took some purposefully for the blog.

I can't wait for the day she will smile at the camera.
She was in the 95th percentile for height and 80th for weight. Some significant developments during the 9th month were standing without support and even taking a couple of steps! She's developing just great and a very smart little girl. We're so happy to have her!
