Well, I was going to wait to post this on Monday, but I don't have anything to do right now, and watching Matt play xbox just doesn't sound very fun. :)
I don't feel like putting lots of baby updates because nothing really changes from one week to the next. But, one week from Monday (Feb. 7th) we have our ultrasound to find out what the baby is! And I figure halfway through pregnancy is a good point to put an update.
This Monday I'll be 20 weeks. Everything is still really good! So I'm happy about that. The biggest change, besides gaining some weight, is I've been feeling the baby move for the past two weeks. This week Matt even got to feel the baby. I read online that it usually doesn't happen that the spouse can feel the baby till 22 or 23 weeks, but I know he felt it! So we're thinking we've got a strong baby on the way. Maybe a future swimmer like his/her dad. :)
I was actually really happy Matt could feel the movement; it makes it more real for the both of us. And we both talked about how weird it is to think of something growing inside of my body. Anyway, that's about it!
Sorry for the lack of pictures with this post! Mostly this post is for my sister so she can put her vote in, BUT if anyone else would like to vote, feel free to have at it! I think 4 of my family members have voted boy so far. I'll be sure to post the result on either Monday, February 7th or Tuesday the 8th!

"Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming."
*Name that movie!*
A couple of weeks ago Groupon had a 2 for the price of 1 deal to the Seattle Aquarium. So, we and our good (and probably only) friends out here decided to buy the deal. And yesterday we cashed in our groupons!
It was pretty fun, and really nice to get out and do something.
I think it was mostly families there with their young kids, so we probably stuck out a bit. But we were enjoying it just as much as those little kids! (Brace yourselves! Bit of a picture overload coming up; but pictures are all anyone wants to see anyway, right? :))
It was a lot of fun and such a beautiful day! It was nice to explore the city just a little bit more.

The only picture I got of our friends the Davis'. |
It was sweet because we got to touch some of the creatures! |
My husband humoring me since I made him pose for this picture :) |
I had to make it up to him by posing too, but he said I'm a horrible actor! |
Probably our favorite fish! |
Dory! The one quoted in my post title :) |
Octopus feeding time! |
So cute :) |
So silly :) |
There was this cool purple wall, so we stopped to have a little photo shoot :) |

Cafe Rio?
One of our favorite places to eat in Utah is Cafe Rio/Costa Vida (for me they are pretty much the same). While we've lived in the great North West, there have been plenty of times we wished there was one close by. And the last two times we've gone home we have made sure to eat there at least once during our stay. (When we arrived for Thanksgiving break we asked Matt's sister to bring us some to the airport when she came to pick us up. That's how badly we were craving it.)
Well, on Sunday we were going to have quesadillas. And then we decided to make it pork quesadillas and see if we could copy the sweet pork quesadillas from Cafe Rio. I found a recipe from this site: Favorite Family Recipes.
We're pretty sure it's not the exact same as the restaurant, BUT it was delicious! The Mr. actually said he thought it just might taste better. Guess we'll have to test it out some time in the future. Also, I try to make a Sunday dinner that's better than the last, he said this was his favorite Sunday dinner so far. I think it might be hard to beat.
*Clarification: So to make the quesadilla, we placed a tortilla in a large frying pan over medium heat. Covered it in as much cheese as you'd like, then covered the frying pan with the lid. We let all the cheese melt then added the pork on top before folding the tortilla in half, and removing it from the heat. Pretty much we just tried to copy what we've seen done at Cafe Rio and Costa Vida. And I think it turned out pretty well. :)

We definitely recommend the recipe! |
Christmas and 2010 Recap
Our Christmas break and 2010 were fantastic! I haven't recapped it like a lot of people, but I didn't want anyone to think that was because we didn't have a great break or year. So, this is my brief synopsis.
Christmas Break:
The good and the bad: both families are only 30 minutes away from each other! It's great because we only have to make one trip and we can see both families. It's not so great because we're always trying to make sure that we have spent adequate time with both families.
However, we had a great time! We were spoiled by both families. It was hard for me to come home knowing I had to start making meals again. I know after a week and a couple of days off of work (which is a great benefit of Matt's job), Matt had a hard time having to go back to work.
We had the chance to talk to Matt's sister, who is serving a mission in Chicago. My family was all together at home for Christmas for the first time since 2005. And we were able to just relax and enjoy quality time with family and friends.
One of my favorite parts during the break was seeing my adorable little niece and giving her an early 1 year birthday celebration! She is at such a fun age, walking all over the place and trying to discover new things. She was afraid of Uncle Matt at first, but probably because he's so tall and had a beard at the time. Eventually she warmed up to him. :) I was so sad when they left and I wasn't waking up to the sound of little feet running around upstairs.
It was a great break and I'm so glad we could spend time with family. We love both of our families very much, and we are grateful we have them. The holidays couldn't have been any better!
2010:
Ok, this is a really easy and short recap -
07/07/2010 We got married! Our most exciting highlight of the year :)
10/2010 Found out we were expecting a baby! Second most exciting highlight.
2011 should be a pretty great year!
*as I was writing this Matt said his most exciting highlight was his raise. he's a butt.
